Sensors are devices that detect physical changes in our environment and convert this information into electrical signals. For example, a temperature sensor measures the environmental temperature and can transmit this data to a heating or cooling system controlled by a thermostat. Sensors play a vital role in automation and control systems and appear in many different forms in our daily lives. The sensitivity of the sensors is very important depending on the place of use.

Sensor Types:
Optical sensors: Detect light and transmit data.
Thermocouples, RTDs and Thermistors: Used for temperature measurement.
Strain gauges: Measure physical tension.
Load cells: Used for weight and load measurement.
LVDT sensors: Measure displacement in distance.
Capacitive sensors: Detects objects without contact. It is used to detect the object within the object.
Inductive sensors: Sensors that detect metal objects
Camera sensors: Captures 2D images.
Digital sensors: Perform on/off counting, coding and position measurements.
Contrast sensor: Sensors that detect some traces on packaging.

Scope of application:
Industrial automation: Control of machines and production processes.
Medical devices: Monitoring patients’ health status.
Packaging machines: Used to detect the object on the belt.
