Cylinder sensors are sensors that detect the magnetic field of the piston magnet through a magnetic field or reed contact. They are used in pneumatic drives to provide binary feedback about piston position. Proximity sensors are mounted at the required switching position in the cylinder housing and output a standardized 24 V switching signal when the magnetic field of the piston is detected. Piston sensors contacts are generally produced as flat contacts, PNP and NPN.
